I am a General Surgery Resident, currently completing two years of research in the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry under the mentorship of Kimberly Kirkwood and Charles Craik. My work aims to understand the role of protease dysregulation in mucinous pancreatic cysts and pancreatic cancer. I am also interested in discovering genetic and protease activity based biomarkers for potentially malignant cysts. My clinical interest is similarly, to improve diagnosis and management of IPMN, a type of Pancreatic Cyst. Following General Surgery training, I plan to complete a fellowship in Surgical Oncology.
